O CTE Capoeiragem has the dissent of the Capoeira Group Kilombolas and Barro Vermelho From mestres Dedé e Benivaldo, respectively, both from Salvador. This family tree starts with the master Suassuna, Grupo Cordão de Ouro and your student, mestre Medicina, Capoeira Raça.
On May 11, 2000 the mestre Balão disconnected from Barro Vermelho and founded the CTE Capoeiragem , which today has the mestre Papa(co-founder of the school), foremen, teachers and other graduates. The group is currently present in some Brazilian states: Bahia, São Paulo, Espírito Santo, Santa Catarina and Sergipe. As well as in three other countries: Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.
The main axis of work of all CTE Capoeiragem centers is education based on the culture of Capoeira. From this, the various aspects are enhanced, such as: practical and theoretical knowledge of Capoeira; teaching methodologies; formatting of various local, national and international events; folkloric shows; research on the cultural roots of Capoeira and revelries related to it; valorization of the old masters; among other actions.
