Arte Nacional was founded in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2000 by Mauricio Ferreira da Luz ( Mestre Dedé ).
The aim of the group is to spread Capoeira in all its facets, as art, dance, sport, culture and combat. Arte Nacional has a base of trained students who teach and develop work in communities, schools, academies and universities.
Arte Nacional has been part of the Brazilian Cultures Association Stuttgart eV since 2005 and offers Capoeira lessons, workshops and shows in Stuttgart.
