Ler mais: https://magnificat.webnode.pt/sobre-nos/ In April 1995 Mestre Nenê graduated as a teacher, together with the joy of having made a dream come true, the first steps towards the realization of another dream also began, giving classes and setting up a group where the objective was not just to train capoeiristas , but with the teaching of capoeira to be able to form good citizens, with character, respect for differences, promoting culture, sport and why not try to become one of the most reputable groups in the region. The first step was to find a name. Among many good names that had a direct relationship only with capoeira Mestre Nenê chose to give the group a name that reflected his truth, and because he was a Christian he named the Association of Capoeira Magnificat. Magnificat — from the Latin magnus , that is, great — to extol the One who is Greatness personified, recognizing that God deserves this superlative of praise and honor in his extrinsic glory, capable of growth, for having accomplished in Her, Blessed Virgin, the fulfillment of the greatest and most auspicious divine promise made to humanity: the Incarnation of the Word. Magnificat , also known as the 'Song of Mary', is a liturgical chant, sung (or recited) frequently in Christian church services. The text of the song comes directly from the text of the Gospel of St. Luke (Lk 1).
