The Educational, Sports and Cultural Center Guinea-Bissau Capoeira is a non-profit philanthropic entity, whose direct objective is the dissemination and promotion of Afro-Brazilian culture through capoeira, also working on the formation of a citizen consciousness, contributing for the psycho-social development and elevation of self-esteem, through the principles and movements of Capoeira, seeking to rescue the appreciation of the true Old Masters, as authentic representatives of the genuinely Brazilian culture. From the perspective of capoeira, its exercise is a strong instrument of social integration, as it works with all classes and also enables the recovery of the notion of citizenship with a way of valuing the manifestations of Brazilian popular culture, rich in historical meanings and possibilities.
