The Semente do Jogo de Angola Group was born in 1990 on the initiative of Jorge Egidio dos Santos, a pupil of Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha, one of the most important teachers of Capoeira Angola. The Group's goal is the dissemination and preservation of Capoeira Angola in its traditional form of art, history and resistance of the Afro-Brazilian culture.
