Sebastião Pelegrini de LJ Mattos, known in the world of capoeira and music as Boa Voz, was born on September 25, 1959, in the city of Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. Son of Leonídio de Mattos and Judith Pelegrini de Matos. He began his career in capoeira in 1979, after leaving the military service. His first contact was with the Capoeira group Porto Seguro, in Petrópolis, his hometown. He began to follow the work of Mestre Camisa in 1984. During the 1st National Capoeira Meeting, held by him in December of that year. In 1986, he joined the institution, where he remains to this day. He is one of the institution's instructors and works with the music and rhythm of capoeira, teaching classes and courses throughout Brazil and the world.
