Antonio Raimundo, known in Bahia as Mestre Aberre, practiced capoeira in the lowlands of Matatu Preto in the Matatu neighborhood.
He trained with several capoeiras such as Onça Preta, Geraldo Hateiro, Totonho Maré, Creoni, Chico Três Pedacos, Pedro Paulo Barroquinha, the late Barboza and was the trainer of the late Mestre Caiçara and Mestre Canjiquinha.
