The Angola Dance has shown to be an effective approach for working with CALD communities sharing a sense of connection, resilience, confidence and body awareness. It is pure fun while developing social, cultural and mindfulness skills. Angola encourages all participants to be threated equally, regardless of gender, culture or age and stimulates the use of dance, movement and musical instruments to enhance self-expression. The capoeira circle is also recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and supports communities from CALD background in more than 160 countries worldwide.
