Brazil is still a multicultural society today and that is exactly what Berimbau Xangô Capoeira represents in Essen. Everyone is welcome, no matter where he or she is from. Together we form the Ronda, practice techniques, are creative and develop further as a capoeirista. We learn firsthand from Master Manjado. The berimbau should not be missing. It is a one-stringed musical bow and the most important instrument in Capoeira. He determines the rhythm, called Toqua, in the Roda. Other instruments include the caxixi rattle, the deep atabaque drum and the resounding pandeiro, also known as the bell tambourine.
