The Associação de Capoeira Mandingueiros dos Palmares is an internationally recognized capoeira organization founded by Mestre Chuvisco. It is dedicated to the preservation of capoeira and Afro-Brazilian culture through education. Mandingueiros dos Palmares has schools all over the United States and the rest of the world. We are based out of Boston, Massachusetts and Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Annually we put on encounters and invite Mestres and Instructors from around the globe to teach and play with us and “baptize” new students. Older students will also gain their new cords at this time. The batizado is the moment when our students become recognized as capoeiristas by the larger capoeira community.
