The group was created with the objective of expanding Brazilian culture, valuing roots and customs (fight, dance and culture); The group currently under the supervision of Mestre Nem together with its graduates develops work in Brazil, Europe, Asia; Promoting and teaching this Brazilian art to the world. The Capoeira Group Camangula develops a style of contemporary capoeira, preserving the origin of regional capoeira. The name Camangula, originates from an open hand fight that the slaves used to defend themselves.
