The Zumbì Group was born in Palermo in February 1997, thanks to Zoi Nascimento who, who moved from Bahia to Palermo in 1990, believing strongly in the potential of capoeira and in the idea that this art should be within everyone's reach and not just a legacy of the Brazilian people, after years of hard and stubborn work done in gyms with few people, he succeeds, with the valid help of his partner, the Mestre Xixarro , to found in Palermo the first capoeira academy in Sicily.
