The Capoeira Sul da Bahia group was born in the 1980s in Arraial D’Ajuda, a small village south of the Brazilian state of Bahia, thanks to the commitment of Railson do Carmo Domingues. The Capoeira Sul da Bahia Milano Amateur Sports Association was founded in 2002 with the aim of promoting Afro-Brazilian culture and practicing and spreading Capoeira at an amateur level.
